The Cork Young Filmmakers project is a series of one-day, two-day and week-long filmmaking workshops for young people in youth groups and schools throughout County Cork. It is facilitated by Cork Film Centre, with the support of Cork County Council Arts Office and SECAD (South & East Cork Area Development). More than 30 films are made annually by participants during Cork Young Filmmakers workshops. Cork Young Filmmakers has provided film making opportunities to young people since 2006.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS 2022
Cork Young Filmmakers will host a series of 5 exciting week-long workshops for Cork County residents aged 14 – 18 during summer 2022. The workshops, provided by Experienced Professional Filmmakers, will be centred in Midleton (June 27 – July 1), Mallow (July 4 – 8), Macroom (July 11 – 15), Cobh (July 18 – 22), and Bandon (July 25 – 29).
