Following on from a number of hugely successful interviews that included the Cork Film Centre's own Chris Hurley, Ger Browne and Colm Ryan have completed another major coup in interviewing L.A based 1st assistant director Ronan O' Connor.Over the past 15 years he has worked with the Coen's, Neil Jordan, Roland Emmerich and Cameron Crowe. His credits include big budget features like Spiderman, Vanilla Sky, Godzilla, Burn after Reading, The Day After Tomorrow, and In Dreams. The interview is a must for anyone interested in working in the industry in the states as he paints a detailed picture of what it's like to work in both New York and in L.A. He talks about his time working on t.v shows such as E.R and contrasts it with working on the aforementioned big budget films. On top of it all he gives a great insight into the Irish diaspora working in America. The show airs on Friday morning from 11-12 on 98.3 FM, the topic of this weeks show is the Irish diaspora.
