Cork Short Casting-various roles male/female/kids

Hi guys Cork filmmaker Brian Stynes is about to begin work on a very interesting film project. It is unpaid unfortunately but it will be a wonderful experience. There will be a collection of shorts by Brian about Cork life. The first is about one particular family on the morning of the youngest daughter's Holy Communion. The film will be about 5-8 minutes long and will be SHOT IN 1 TAKE .It's a fly on the wall look at the family. You MUST have confident improv skills. Cork accents essential We are casting the following roles

1 Mum 35 years old, attractive but not glam!, friendly open face. She has two children from 2 relationships and is very much in love with her husband.They have a loving relationship. She works part-time alongside her closest friend in the local supermarket

2 Dad He is 35/40+ . He is a bus driver.He has an open but maybe weathered face. A happy "character" who is a fantastic father.

3 Julie She is in her early 30s. She has one daughter Saoirse. She is works full time as a carer.Again she is warm and happy.

4 Steve He is Julie's partner and Saoirse's father.He is a bar manager.He is confident and attractive. Again he has a warm open personality

5 Grandad He is 60+. He is slightly flustered by the commotion of the busy household . A characterful face essential for this role

6 Grandmother She is 60+ and a bit of a glam granny.She is funny busy and the matriarch of the family.

7 Neighbours - male and female They are in their late 20s -mid 30s. Again they are friendly. They have come to wish the family luck on the communion day

KIDS ROLES

Cecily It is her First Holy Communion Day. She is 8 years old. She is a down to earth mature 8 year old. She is confident and wise beyond her years.

Saoirse She is 8-10 years old. She is very girly very confident and very excited about the day. She and Cecily are cousins and best friends

Carl Carl is Cecily's brother. He is older, about 10-12. He is very cheeky. He is always in trouble in school and at home but he is something of a charmer.

There will be some rehearsals involved because we want to have this done in one take. It will be shot in a house in Cork City so Cork accents are essential.
