Galway Film Centre/RTÉ Short Film Awards 2011 Information Session
We are holding an information session about the 2011 Short Film Awards this Friday February 18th at 2pm here in Galway Film Centre. People often are boggled by why their scripts didn't get picked etc. This is an opportunity to learn more about the process and also there will be plenty of time for questions. This panel type session will include the following speakers:
- The script readers
- Eilish Kent, RTÉ
- Declan Gibbons, Galway Film Centre Manager
- Conor Ferguson,writer/director of The Wednesdays
- James Phelan, writer/director of The Ottoman Empire
- David Freyne, writer/director of Passing
- Keith Bogue, writer of The Day Trippers & Listen
- Thomas Hefferon, co-writer/director of Switch
- Anne Marie Naughton, producer of The Wednesdays
There will also be screenings of films which previously won the Award, as well as rough cuts of 2010's winners. This information session should be invaluable for writers, filmmakers and producers alike.
The deadline for application for this year's Award is March 11th so if you intend to apply, it is well worth attending this event.
When and Where: Friday Feb 18th at 2pm beside the Galway Film Centre offices in Cluain Mhuire.
